Haitian Fever!

We leave for Haiti in one day!

Last night, the reality of my trip finally started setting in.  After stuffing at least 10 bags with supplies, each one weighing close to 50 lbs, the adrenaline started surging.  There's no turning back now.  I'm going to Haiti! I can't even describe the butterflies fluttering around in my stomach!

As you can see from above, we have a HOT week ahead of us but praise the Lord for sunshine! Praise the Lord for His amazing love and His daily blessings of new mercies and grace!  I can't wait to see what the Lord will teach me this week as I serve the wonderful people of Haiti.  I know that I will be serving them but the way in which they bless me and impact my life is something I will be eternally grateful for.  To be surrounded by loving and joyful people in the midst of destruction and brokenness is a lesson that will  change my life forever!

So excited and joyful to be serving a mighty King and I'm so thankful for the amazing support and love from all of my friends, family, and wonderful people of Stone Creek Community Church!  You all mean so much to me!

Haiti in TWO Days!

Hey all!  Here is my first official post en mis aventuras!  (for those of you who don't know what that means, mis aventuras is my adventures in Spanish!)

Because I have so much to do in preparation for the trip, this first post will be a short one.  Above is a picture of three of my bags I will be taking to Haiti. (Kudos to the lovely Rachel Mitzel who helped me cram all of my clothes in those bags!) It is not going to be fun lugging all of my stuff through three airports, but I'm sure it will be nothing compared to what I will be doing during the week.

I'm really excited!  It's kinda surreal...but I know once I step out of the plane in Port Au Prince, everything will become a reality!

I look forward to blogging more and I will keep you all up to date as much as possible!

Thank you so much for all of your love and support!  God bless!
